If you've found this page, chances are that your business is required to submit its financials to one or more third parties: creditors, investors, potential buyers, or regulatory agencies, for example.
When CPAs issue a formal report on financial statements, they offer one of three levels of attest services:
- Audit - the CPA/auditor performs an intensive examination and typically offers positive assurance that the financial statements are fairly presented in accordance with a certain standard;
- Review - the CPA performs limited procedures and offers limited assurance; and
- Compilation - the CPA relies upon information provided by the client and offers no assurance at all.
AUDITS
Being mindful of the career path of our friends who used to work for Arthur Andersen, we only bid on audit engagements in which we feel we can perform the work in accordance with professional standards in cost-effective fashion:
- Small business audits - "plain vanilla" audits in selected industries
- HUD audits - mortgage brokers only
- Audits of employee benefit plans
- Audits of nonprofit organizations
Please send requests for proposal directly to
Bill Brock. If Bill feels that other public accounting firms are better qualilfied to perform the audit, he will not hesitate to provide referrals.
